Just showing why the USA media & USA government spend so MUCH TIME telling you how deadly space is…
YES, the nay sayers will say I am talking out my ass.
PROBLEM, since they do not understand the CONCEPT of what I would build, HOW THE HECK CAN THEY BE ABLE TO DECIDE IT WOULD NOT WORK??
Suicidal behavior is always DEADLY! Nay Sayers are suicide bent humans, they have no “Positive Image set” in they tiny brains…
OK, so this ain’t no pretty beauty queen of a strip light box, but heck a “decent” one starts at around $80USD.
Down here in Mexico, while I don’t know how soon I will need one, the shipping is expensive or I have to research out the Mexican companies that supply one.
I also have a money shortage & needed some soft boxes & hair light & a strip light so that adds of fast.
Well, the hair light and strip box were a little easier to make. I will wait on the soft boxes.
I made a hair light box out of cardboard & just need to find a little brighter light for it. The small LED light stick is too dim for studio work. I can stick a flash in there.
But the other day I noticed that here in town there are LED strip lights for sale & at only 95 pesos for one, heck that is like $5 USD so why not invest a little time to make a strip light out of one.
My neighbor also gave me a big cardboard box that was too large for what she needed.
1200mm is over 4ft long & 6500k is a nice level to work with. I did have a small issue that facing forward I got stripes on the wall. I had bought the clear lens so I could have the most light possible & would make my own defusing for it.
So I just turned the light around and faced into the box. The shiny side of the aluminum foil would defuse that issue just fine.
I then added some more cardboard to make “barn doors” on the box.
I put aluminum foil on the joints of the barn doors & made sure that the barn doors were in the full open position when taping them together so I would not have issues of opening and closing them or light leaks.
Over all time is a couple hours of work, but here is the light in action.
Wide open doors.
Closed most the way.
And a half way flagged position.
So tape, aluminum foil, a cardboard box & a strip of LED 6500k lights, plus a little and I have something that works.
Like a say, “it ain’t pretty to look at!” But it does the job for now!
And is light weight enough to hang on a light stand/boom or even from the ceiling.
Creative Shooting folks! Specially those of you with a limited budget.

This is a solar system, NO ELECTRIC, NO WATER PUMPS…
JUST PLASTIC, & BUCKETS!
45 years ago I learned this trick in DESERT Survival.
Puerto Rico can use this!
India, Africa, South America, where ever people NEED DRINKING WATER!
NO, IT is not quick, but it works for free & ONCE SET UP IT KEEPS MAKING WATER!
You do not need to SHIP IN MORE LITTLE BOTTLES…
I recently moved out of my old Mexican apartment for the past 20 months.
It has been a trying time to be there & living here!
Here you can see the foot of my bed, the desk and some of the stuff piled up waiting for me to find a place to sort through & see what was still good after the Dec. 2015 auto accident.
The head of the bed, rain water drip catcher over it, blue water bucket for purifying my drinking water. That “white card stock” by the head of the bed was to slow down the mice & cockroaches that would run over my face as I slept.
So yes, folks this is what I did not want to show as I lived there. I do not like pity.
I worked to find answers.
The small windows in the door, like my jail cells, not light. But sometimes a little is better than none.
The corner of the desk to the door, not much smaller/bigger that one of my past jail cells too. The moving blanket was for winter, it would block out the colder air at night. Summer could hit 100F and was often 90F at 12midnight. So winter’s 55F was cold.
There was no sense buying any kind of heater, the other units used them and blew the whole complex’s electric box all the time.
yes a tin roof with cement on top of it. Mexican construction yes that is a crack running down the wall.
My new place,
This is a week or so ago. The laundry pile is smaller now. But here is the front rooms, Laundry sink in the left corner, place to let dishes dry, book shelves and a workstation to train people at.
20 months later I am open for business “Locally”, sign on the street. Internet installed.
I currently have 7 different calendars to offer for sale on the street. Yes, just like an ordinary Mexican, selling in front of my house. I have even located some “wire racks the locals use to display their products on that I can use.
And a sign by my patio doors,
Notice the cut step of the stairs… PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE HERE DRUNK OR ON DRUGS THAT IMPAIR YOU!
That is the area to step into my entry! ha ha… once again the “Gods” have given me a place that is hard to attack!
Inside the NEW apartment, my workstation, and the reverse view. A studio for photography.
My bed has some legs I had made for it after moving in too.
& I even get to hang my night panorama of London!
by the way, yes this is my chair… and you can see even in the new apartment the sleeping bag is hanging out of it!
(I ran around the old apartment trying to figure out where the 2nd warm sleeping bag was, till I stopped to straighten up the chair and remembered I used it to “stuff” the chair!
So the next time some one tells you not to TRY, just remember that I came here NOT SPEAKING THE LANGUAGE, not having any friends, very little money, and quite a few people wanting to steal from me. PLUS no ability to return to USA other than to go to prison for BEING A WHISTLE BLOWER with corruption charges on the USA court system & a threat of death if I ever ENTER A USA COURT!
A one way ticket into Mexico & I Won!

Contact me about anything you need explained, I learned this trick some where close to 50 years ago. Desert survival trick. You can make these easy, and with basic supplies any where. Making roofless huts or areas of holes with fences around to keep animals out of the area. While it does not make huge amounts of water in a hurry, you can produce gallons in a day with a simple series of these all working for free of solar sunlight energy.
If you live in a city, put them on your roof tops, safe from theft & in the sunlight.
