Is this still a drum? a drum of “CHAOS”.

my toy drum, just something to bang on by myself, but since I am sort of an Anonymous member, as an outcast of societies, and no human rights in the USA. Anyway, I support everyone, so I made a 2 tone mask. Copyright Vanderhoof Photography 2016

“a drum of “CHAOS”, but not “THE Drum”.

This a hand drum I made.
I am not a drummer.
I have almost no musical background, can not sing, or play any instruments.
I have not studied music, it’s theories, or instrument design.

This comment to myself, Feb of 2016, simply brings me to ask for help.

SPECIAL NOTE ON MY DRUM!!! I started to create this drum in 2004, Sherri was my girlfriend, and as my last allowed attempt at girlfriend, Fall 2004 to Spring 2005, she saw it started, knew the drummer helping me left before she and she never saw it finished. I took it to the High Sierra Music Festival July 2005, so it was play-able at that point  but needed refinement and I got arrested in August 2005. About 2 or 3 months or seeing what I built. Released in 2007, I finally took it out, tuned it up and started playing in Oct/Nov 2015… 10, yes ten full years and I m only now getting to explore it as a creation.  and NO I AM NOT A PUBLIC  drummer, AKA NOISE MAKER. I do not consider my drum noise to be a Real music.

So this drum, to more fully explain, it the result of my desire to fulfill THE last image of a home that loved me when I was 2 yrs. old. A drum up in a closet, I would never play with again.
That drum, last September I learned was my brother David’s drum. I met my younger Sam and sister Carol.
I love music, specially live music, so wanting something I could do on my own, by myself and not care what anyone else thought, a drum remained on the list.

The guy would was showing me how to make the drum, was doing so for a business idea. However, he moved on with other issues and only saw the drum making process a couple of times after he left living on my property.
We did not have any time play on this.

My musician friend listened to a simple recording, said to enjoy my heart out. Nothing special, and not insultive of saying that to me.
